Forbes Magazine has released a list of the top earning supermodels today and compared it to the times of the supermodel era 15 years ago, when there were real supermodels. They were celebrities in their own right, dated musicians and asked $10,000 for one fashion show. Today the catwalk is filled with anonymous Russian teenagers, the fashion magazine covers are taken over by Hollywood and musicians marry their prom date and live happily ever after - or they date Pamela Anderson.

But according to Forbes, there are still some models making big money from their spokesmodel contracts. Way ahead of the pack is hardworking Gisele B�ndchen with 20 campaign contracts and $33million a year. Second is Kate Moss with $9m, Heidi Klum has $8m and Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio rounds off the top five with $6m. And how many other working supermodels can you name?
